Our terms

The rules of the service — written to be read, not skipped.

Last updated: 28 August 2026

The SupportFund service

SupportFund provides free tools and information to help you find and navigate financial support, household savings and other opportunities. Creating a SupportFund account and using the core service costs nothing.

Eligibility

SupportFund is open to UK residents aged 18 or over. You'll need a valid email address and a residential postcode.

Payments for optional purchases

Some things you can choose to buy through SupportFund — such as vouchers — are paid for separately at the price shown at the time. Those payments are processed by our payment provider. Products and services provided by third parties are subject to that third party's own terms.

Requests for support

Where the service lets you send a request for support, requests are submitted from inside your account, not through the public contact form. Support is discretionary and awarded in line with our published rules. We aim to review requests within two working days.

Acceptable use

Please don't submit false or misleading requests, share your account, or attempt to misuse the service. Doing so may end your access without refund.

Existing legacy subscriptions

SupportFund no longer offers paid subscriptions, and no new subscription can be taken out. Some people still hold a subscription created under the previous service model. While such a subscription remains active, the terms below continue to apply to it.

  • The subscription is billed at the price agreed when it was taken out, for the billing period agreed at that time.
  • You can cancel at any time from your account, under Account → Billing. Your subscription stays active until the end of the current billing period. You can also view your subscription status, renewal or end date, and your invoices there.
  • We don't pro-rata refund part-periods. If you cancelled within 14 days of taking out the subscription and hadn't submitted a claim, you could request a full refund of that first payment.
  • A portion of subscription fees was added to the community fund, used to support people through the claim categories published on How It Works. Community support is discretionary and awarded in line with our published rules.

Our liability

Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. Otherwise our liability to you is limited to any fees you've paid us in the previous 12 months.

Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. Where a change materially affects an active legacy subscription, we'll email the account holder at least 30 days before it takes effect.

Privacy

How we handle your personal data is set out in our Privacy policy.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
