Tick off each condition below. You'll usually need to meet all of them to qualify.
Veterans UK automatically identifies eligible service personnel when awarding a Guaranteed Income Payment (GIP) of 50% or above.
You are sent an AFIP claim form directly by Veterans UK to confirm your details.
Once awarded, AFIP is paid directly into your bank account alongside your main military compensation.
AFIP recipients automatically qualify for local council concessions, including Blue Badges, free bus passes, and exemption from benefit cap rules.
Compensation for military personnel who suffer injury, illness, or medical discharge caused by service in the UK Armed Forces on or after 6 April 2005.
