Provide details of your deceased partner's National Insurance number, date of death, and death certificate.
Payments are deposited directly into your bank account as an initial tax-free lump sum followed by up to 18 monthly payments.
Bereavement Support Payment is disregarded as income for Universal Credit and local Council Tax Reduction claims for the first 12 months. Local councils also offer local Funeral Expense Assistance top-ups.
