Social Security Scotland automatically awards Carer Support Payment and the Scottish Carer Supplement where eligible.
Carer Support Payment exempts your household from the Benefit Cap. Local councils offer unpaid carers respite services, emergency carer grants, and local council tax carer discounts.
Financial support if you care for someone at least 35 hours a week who receives a qualifying disability benefit.
