Download and print the DLA child claim form from GOV.UK or request a printed copy by phone (0800 121 4600).
Fill out the form detailing daily care, night needs, mobility difficulties, and medical reports.
Post the completed application along with supporting medical/school evidence to DWP.
A child DLA award unlocks extra Universal Credit child additions, Carer's Allowance for parents, Blue Badge parking permits from your local council, and short-break carer respite funding.
Financial support if you care for someone at least 35 hours a week who receives a qualifying disability benefit.
