An allocation is not a scheme
"The government has allocated the Crisis and Resilience Fund to councils, but a household cannot apply to an allocation. What matters locally is whether the council has published a scheme, what it covers, and how you apply."
Where you live changes what you can get
"Two households in identical circumstances can get very different help depending on which side of a council boundary they live on. Some councils fund emergency cash, some fund vouchers only, some require a referral, and some require you to be on benefits. That is a significant, documented variation in what is available depending on where you live."
