Department for Work and Pensions (DWP)
Tick off each condition below. You'll usually need to meet all of them to qualify.
Call the DWP Bereavement Service on 0800 151 2012 to make a claim over the phone.
Alternatively, download form SF200 from GOV.UK and post it to the DWP.
Provide itemised invoices or receipts from the funeral director.
If a Funeral Expenses Payment does not cover the total cost, your local council may also offer local bereavement support grants or public health funeral arrangements.
