Apply online via the official GOV.UK Jobseeker's Allowance application portal.
Attend an initial orientation phone call or interview at your local Jobcentre Plus office.
Agree to a 'Claimant Commitment' setting out your weekly job search activities.
While receiving JSA, you can apply separately to your local council for Council Tax Reduction and local hardship funds to help with essential living costs.
