Colchester City Council says Discretionary Housing Payments ended nationally on 1 April 2026 and are replaced by Crisis and Resilience Fund Housing Payments, which continue to provide discretionary financial help for residents facing a shortfall in their rent under national guidance as part of the wider fund running to 31 March 2029.
