Cherwell District Council says the Crisis and Resilience Fund runs from 1 April 2026 to 31 March 2029 and replaces the Household Support Fund and Discretionary Housing Payments, and that from 1 April 2026 Discretionary Housing Payment is known as Housing Payment with the same qualifying criteria. Published uses include rent in advance, rent deposits, rent arrears, other lump-sum costs associated with a housing need such as removal costs, and shortfalls between benefit and contractual rent.
