Manchester City Council's Crisis and Resilience Fund provides short-term emergency support for residents who experience an unexpected financial shock and cannot afford essential living costs. Published support includes food and essential living costs, gas and electricity or heating support, furniture and essential household items, and travel costs to start a new job. Housing payments are provided through a separate Crisis and Resilience Fund Housing Payment route.

Who may qualify?

Residents may be able to get help if they live in Manchester, are facing a financial crisis or emergency, cannot afford essential living costs, are on a low income, have had a sudden money problem such as an unexpected cost or loss of income, and have no other way to meet the essential cost.
