Islington delivers Crisis Payments, Housing Payments and resilience support. Housing Payment applicants must receive Housing Benefit or the Universal Credit housing element and face an additional housing difficulty such as the bedroom tax, the Benefit Cap, a Local Housing Allowance shortfall, a rent deposit or removal costs. Access is through a housing provider, a referral from the council or a local partner, by telephone, or in person at the Access Islington Hub.
